Read about our Testing Equipment

Before undertaking any testing it is necessary to look up the product standard for your particular product and to see which tests apply, and also to establish the limits which your product must meet.

If no product standard is available for your product, then we use the Generic standards as follows:

61000-6-1; 61000-6-2; 61000-6-3; 61000-6-4

However, on occasion, especially for pre-compliance tests, it may not be necessary to carry out a full suite of tests. Any area which causes concern to the manufacturer can be tested. Also, for example with battery operated devices, it is not necessary to test for conducted emissions or immunity since there are no cables involved which could carry interfering signals.

For example if your product is a medical device, or perhaps a personal computer, you will need to have Radiated and Conducted Emissions tested, along with Radiated and Conducted Immunity (for all cables used with the product), Electrical Fast Transient tested (also for all cables).

If all this seems to be confusing, then give us a call
(+353 (0)21 487 1437) and have a chat with Tom who will be able to tell you what testing is required for your product.

Take the Carrigrohane Road as far as the turn off to the right for Coachford and after crossing the river and passing the Anglers Rest pub, stay on main road (R618) for exactly two miles. Immediately after a turn off to the right, there are two houses on the left, EMT is the second one.

From: South Ring Road
Take the ring road to Bandon Road Roundabout and continue straight through for Ballincollig. Take the first exit for Ballincollig, the N22, (and Blarney and Kanturk). Continue to follow signs for Blarney and Kanturk until you have passed the Anglers Rest Pub and the main road becomes the R618 and veers to the left. Two miles exactly from the Anglers Rest is the EMT premises. Pass a small road off to the right and we are the second house on your left.

From: Blarney
Take the R617 West out of Blarney (directions for Killarney). Pass through Tower, and at the T-junction in Cloghroe (PO, church, school) turn left, pass school on left. and travel approximately 2 miles to Leemount Cross. (The crossroads is just after a petrol station on your right.) Turn very sharp right onto the R618. EMT is just under two miles from this junction. Pass a small turning off to the right and we are the second house on the left after that.
